Question Travel insurance?
I have just got back from china. Whilst I was there I had my bag stolen which had clothes, shoes, etc. I purchased travel insurance before traveling and am covered for upto £2500 which is plenty to cover what was taken. The thing is I dont have recpits for most of the items that were stolen, will this be a problem when making my claim? I have got a police report from the chinese police to support my claim. Please advise. thanks
Best Answer In addition kindly list down all items and the amount together with the police report. It should be OK as many travellers don't keep original receipts. The claim department will look at your detail list. They are very smart people, don't inflate any figure and give them any chance to void your claims. If possible, the list of lost items in your baggage should be type written and signed by you. Good luck

Question I want to travel the world, a few questions on how to do it?
So, after High school, I plane to spend a good 3 months in Europe / Asia ( I Don't really want to go to any other places so badly ) And after these 3 months, I plan to join the army (So that's why I wanna travel right after). but during the 3 months, I plan on traveling alone, I need a little bit more of an idea. Money: I'm 15 now that is why I have decided to start thinking of this now then when its to late to save up. I have read many articles, most rounded up to 3,000 bucks a month. so I was thinking 10,000 to keep it safe. and just as a way I plan to travel is backpack handy (If I could) and stay at cheap hotels. The main reason why I am doing this trip is to feel the culture, and seeing everything, so with travel, Id love to take trains or a bus. And even though I grew up in the time of entertainment, I don't need anything really to keep me happy, so most electronic devises are out of the question But since where I am now (Nevada) I decided to fly to some where in asia, and work my way over to europe and fly back to New york, and get back to nevada. So I may need to just put a lot of money away for the plane. And on another note, who would I pay for things if I only have US dollars? Is there some sort of card I could use, like a prepaid credit card that works around the world? Language: I am already learning japanese, and fairly good at english (at least from my report card) are there any other recommended languages I should get the idea of before going? or at least a little travel book? Bills: With the advantage of doing this after high school, I don't need to worry about paying bills for a house I don't live in for 3 months. but I did hear of this travel insurance which Im very unsure of what it is. And with buying gas, would it be better to go around the world with a car, or public transportation? Does it cost to get a pass port? If there are any specific locations that you have been to in Europe, or Asia, that are very interested, please tell me, I wanna get into a place filled with history, not just boring old america. Any other tips would be awesome! if you have any answers to the questions above, please answer them for me! Thanks for helping
Best Answer Wow, Um not to burst your bubble or anything because its a good idea, but your only 15, a flight to Europe alone would cost $1,192.10 and that's to the closest air port from Atlanta, Georgia, imagine how much it would be from Nevada, that's a one way ticket on coach to London, United Kingdom. Now for International currency is what you mean by getting money in other countries, you have to take in account how the U.S. economy is doing now and how it will be doing then, because the Dollar is worth less then the Euro. So however much money you have you have to deduct a certain amount of money, lets say after the flight you have $9,625.05, after changing your dollar to a euro you would have €7,654.53, now you said you wanted to see the culture ok, now your going into asia with lets say €6,192.32, sense asia doesn't have one set currency like the U.S. and Europe you would have to keep changing your money, over and over again. So if I where you I'd do the military thing first, that way you've saved up your money. Lets say your a private through out your 4 year term, a private makes $50,000 a year, so over 4 years you have $200,000 and then your much more financially stable and you can do more. I know that's how I got to Brazil by doing what I just suggested to you. So your 15 go be 15, and don't try and leave so fast.
